Brand Aid is a guided mentorship program that aims to uncover core issues, figure out a feasible plan forward, and design a better future together. We are looking for businesses who are:

Our Thoughts on Brand Clarity Amidst the Crisis

Smart brands do their best to stay afloat. Smarter brands use this time to empathize with their consumer more than ever.

GCash has always been singular in its goal of providing financial technology to empower the underserved.

Yet, despite being one of the country's first movers, they faced some challenges in communicating the innovation they continue to achieve and pursue. This is when they asked for our help. We designed a refresh of the entire GCash brand through an adaptable, robust design system, that connects their audience to their mission and message, in a culture that is still apprehensive towards fintech.

Bumble approached us to conceptualize and produce an OOH and digital campaign to build their brand in the country.

Our challenge was to position Bumble meaningfully in the highly conservative Filipino market. To do this, we realized we had to unpack what relationships meant to our culture. What we came up with was a campaign called Bumble IRL, which highlights all the good parts of relationships, the quiet time and effort it takes to build it, and that Bumble was a just great way to start.

Branding for taco restaurant La Chinesca

There is no end for one’s love for tacos, and the devotion that husband and wife Bruce Ricketts and Jae Pickrell have for it is clear proof. 

Together, they made La Chinesca, a hole-in-the-wall taqueria inspired by the inner city cultures of Mexico and Hong Kong. Heavily influenced by pop culture, we took cues from iconic posters, Mexican paraphernalia, and Asian pop culture, and turned them into a brand that reflected grit and soul. Our work helped bring to life one of Bruce's most personal projects and equipped Jae to build on and create more posters inspired by life and tacos.
