The Serious Internship™ is an immersive and intense learning experience that prepares highly motivated individuals for success in their chosen fields.

Our program offers a unique combination of serious lectures, creative projects, and team collaboration to provide a comprehensive learning experience.

Our eight-week program covers a wide range of topics, including but not limited to:

- Serious 101
- Presenting
- Layout
- Strategy
- Branding (of course)
- Client Judo
- Business of Design (e.g. Pricing, Financial Literacy)
- Career Development
- Special topics and emerging trends in Branding

Each week is carefully curated to provide interns with the tools, knowledge, and practical experience needed to succeed in the creative industry.

While we cover a wide range of creative skills, we do expect our interns to possess a basic understanding of creative principles and techniques. This program is designed for individuals who are passionate about their craft and eager to take their skills to the next level. Aspiring strategists and designers are welcome to join us on this journey.

Will we learn basic creative skills?

While we will be covering a wide range of creative skills, it is important to note that this program is designed for individuals who already possess a basic understanding of creative principles and techniques.

We expect our participants to have a fundamental knowledge of the tools and software commonly used in the industry, as we will be diving into more advanced techniques and strategies.

Is this just for designers?

We welcome aspiring strategists and designers to this program! While this masterclass does cover a variety of design principles and techniques, it is not exclusively for designers.

Our goal is to provide a comprehensive learning experience for individuals interested in pursuing a career in the creative industry, whether they have a background in design or strategy.

We believe that a multidisciplinary approach can enhance creativity and problem-solving skills, and we encourage individuals from various backgrounds to join us in this journey.

Is this a paid internship?

Hell Yes! The Serious Internship™ is a paid program. We believe in compensating interns for their time and effort, and we offer competitive compensation packages.

Is this remote?

Yes— Serious School is 100% remote. We sometimes meet up at our studio for human time, but that’s totally optional.

Will I receive a certificate upon completion of the program?

Yes, we provide all interns with a certificate of completion at the end of the program, especially if it is a school requirement. This certificate can be a valuable addition to your resume and can demonstrate your commitment to professional development.

How many hours a week will I be expected to work?

On average, interns can expect to work 28-32 hours per week (roughly 4 days / wk), including attending lectures, completing assignments, and collaborating with their team.
