The Gist
We are hiring a full-time manager for a café and design retail venture we've opened in San Juan.
Supernormal is a design market and cafe — a venture we built because we believe good coffee and good design make each other better. We're a small team that takes craft, quality, and every little detail personally.
You'll be learning how to run the entire operation — floor, people, numbers, suppliers, systems — with the goal of growing into a full operations manager. You'll start by doing the work alongside the team, then progressively take ownership of how things run and why.
What You’ll Do
→ Build and run systems that ensure great service, smooth shifts.
→ Keep the space clean, organized, and up to safety standards.
→ Learn to count inventory stock, flag concerns, and submit reports.
→ Get trained on hiring, scheduling, discipline, and compliance.
→ Control finances, inventory, procurement, and expenses.
→ Manage menu recipes, quality, and costing.
→ Run team huddles, improve operations, and report to owners.
Qualifications
No prior management experience required — but you should have 1–3 years working in a real team environment, ideally in food & beverage, hospitality, or creative.
What matters more is that you've noticed how things run (or don't) and have opinions about it. You're organized, calm when it gets busy, and clear when it counts. You lead by example, not by title — even when no one's asked you to lead yet.
Proficiencies
Comfortable learning POS systems, cash handling, and basic financial reporting.
Organized enough to manage inventory and coordinate with suppliers.
Willing to get trained on staff scheduling, labor cost planning, and food safety compliance.
Tech-literate — you can pick up tools and systems without hand-holding.

We try our best to do so, but we cannot guarantee that we will be able to reply to each internship/job application individually. We hope you understand.
